Nutrition Program

KDC Health employs a full time Registered Dietician to provide Nutrition Services to Campbell River, Cape Mudge and K'omoks bands. The nutritionist oversees the KDC Health nutrition program and administers the nutrition program with client consultation. This also involves planning, coordinating and developing programs and workshops within the member nations. The nutritionist provides community members with nutritional tools to prevent type 2 diabetes, and to prevent or delay diabetes related complications. A secondary function is pregnancy, child, youth and elder nutrition.
